We're looking for a Senior Backend Developer to lead the technical execution of our CRM domain transformation – one of the most complex and critical initiatives in our modernization journey.
You'll be hands-on in decomposing and replacing our legacy Siebel CRM with modern microservices architecture, building the backbone systems that power our customer operations, sales processes, and service delivery.
This is a high-impact individual contributor role for someone who excels at complex system refactoring, data migration, and building scalable backend services in enterprise environments.
What you'll be doing
- Leading hands-on development in the CRM domain transformation – decomposing monolithic Siebel into domain-driven microservices
- Building core backend services for:
- Customer data management and customer 360° view
- Order management and fulfillment orchestration
- Product catalog and configuration services
- Billing integration and account management
- Sales and service process automation
- Developing robust data migration strategies for transitioning from legacy systems
- Implementing event-driven architecture using Kafka for real-time synchronization between CRM domains and downstream systems
- Building high-performance APIs that handle millions of daily transactions across multiple consumer systems
- Ensuring data consistency and integrity across distributed services during the transition period where legacy and new systems coexist
- Collaborating with architects, business analysts, and domain experts to understand complex telco business processes and translate them into technical solutions
- Optimizing system performance, managing database schemas, and ensuring services can scale to handle peak loads
What we're looking for
- Expert-level Java and Spring Boot development skills with proven track record in enterprise backend systems
- Deep experience with CRM systems transformation, ideally with knowledge of Siebel, Salesforce, or similar platforms
- Strong expertise in microservices architecture, domain-driven design, and distributed systems patterns
- Solid experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL), data modeling, and query optimization
- Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar event streaming platforms for system integration
- Proven track record in legacy system modernization and large-scale data migrations
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of telco domain (customer lifecycle, order-to-activation, billing) is a significant advantage
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with complex, ambiguous requirements
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders
- Self-driven mindset with ability to take ownership of large technical initiatives
Nice to have
- Experience with NoSQL databases for specific use cases
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
- Experience with performance testing and optimization tools
- Knowledge of SAFe, Scrum, or other agile methodologies in large-scale environments
- Experience with API gateway patterns and API management platforms
- Background in DevOps practices and infrastructure as code
- Previous experience mentoring junior developers or leading technical initiatives
- Experience with caching strategies and distributed cache solutions
- Knowledge of contract testing and consumer-driven contracts
